Scope of This Policy

This policy applies to the Restoration Pointe Counseling Center LLC website ("Restoration Pointe," "we," "us," or "our") and to the information visitors share with us through it. Our founder is Alicia M. Rincones, MA, LPC, NCC, and our practice is licensed in the Commonwealth of Virginia.

It does not govern the confidential clinical records or protected health information we maintain when you receive counseling services. Those records are covered by a separate HIPAA Notice of Privacy Practices, described in more detail below. By using this website, you acknowledge the practices described here.

Information We Collect

We collect two kinds of information through this website. The first is information you choose to give us. Our site includes a single contact and intake form, and when you complete it you may provide the details listed below.

The second is limited technical information that is typical of nearly any website. When you visit, our web hosting environment and the third-party services our site relies on may automatically log basic data such as your IP address, browser type, device type, and the date and time of your visit. We do not use this data to build a profile of you, and our site does not run analytics or advertising software.

How Information Is Shared

We do not sell, rent, or trade your information, and we do not share it for anyone else's advertising. We share information only in the narrow circumstances described here.

Our website depends on service providers to function. Contact form submissions are transmitted to our practice using Google services, specifically Google Apps Script and Google Sheets, and are also delivered to us by email. These providers process the data on our behalf so that we can receive and act on your message. We may also disclose information when we are required to do so by law, such as in response to a valid legal request, or when necessary to protect the safety, rights, or property of a person or of our practice.

Our website does not currently use tracking cookies, advertising cookies, or analytics tools, and we do not track your activity across other websites.

Children's Privacy

This website is intended for adults and is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13 through the website.

We do provide counseling services for children ages 6 and older, but any website contact or intake request concerning a minor should be made by the child's parent or legal guardian. If you believe a child under 13 has submitted information through our site, please contact us so we can remove it.

This Website Is Not a Secure or HIPAA-Compliant Portal

Please do not use this website to send sensitive health information. The contact form and email are convenient ways to reach us, but they are not a secure or HIPAA-compliant patient portal. When you complete the form, share only what is necessary to start a conversation, and avoid including detailed medical, psychiatric, or other sensitive health information.

Submitting the form does not create a therapist-client relationship and does not make your message a protected health record. The protected health information you share once you are in our care, during clinical sessions and treatment, is handled very differently and is governed by our separate HIPAA Notice of Privacy Practices. You will receive that notice when you begin services at intake, and it, not this website policy, controls how your clinical information is used and protected.

Our website may include links to third-party websites or resources that we do not operate or control, and it displays embedded content such as a map. We provide these for your convenience and information.

We are not responsible for the content, security, or privacy practices of any third-party site. We encourage you to review the privacy policy of any website you visit through a link from ours.
