Accessibility Statement
At Restoration Pointe Counseling Center LLC ("Restoration Pointe," "we," "us"), care begins with making people feel welcome. That includes the people who visit this website. We want everyone, including visitors who use assistive technology or who navigate the web differently, to be able to find information, understand it, and reach us with ease. This statement explains what we have done to make our site accessible, where we still have work to do, and how to contact us if something gets in your way.
Our Commitment to Accessibility
We believe that reaching out for support should never be harder than it needs to be. Because of that, accessibility is part of how we think about this website rather than something we add on at the end.
Our goal is a site that works well for people of all abilities, including those who are blind or have low vision, who are deaf or hard of hearing, who have limited mobility, or who process information in different ways. We treat this as an ongoing responsibility and revisit it as our site grows and changes.
Conformance Target
We work toward the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 at Level AA. These internationally recognized guidelines are organized around content that is perceivable, operable, understandable, and robust for a wide range of visitors.
We describe WCAG 2.1 Level AA as a goal we actively pursue, not a certification or a guarantee. Accessibility work is continuous, and while we may not meet every success criterion at every moment, we use this standard to guide our decisions and to measure our progress.
Measures We Take and Accessibility Features of This Site
As we build and maintain this website, we include a number of features intended to make it easier to use with a keyboard, a screen reader, or other assistive technology. These are practical steps that are already in place, and we continue to refine them over time.
- Semantic HTML structure with clear page landmarks, so assistive technology can recognize regions such as navigation, main content, and footer.
- A "skip to content" link that lets keyboard users move past repeated navigation and go straight to the main content of a page.
- Descriptive alternative text on images that carry meaning, while images that are purely decorative are marked so screen readers can skip over them.
- Full keyboard navigation, so the site can be used without a mouse.
- Visible focus styles that show where you are on the page as you move through it with a keyboard.
- Clearly labeled form fields with plain indicators for which fields are required.
- A responsive, resizable layout that adjusts to different screen sizes and to increased text size.
- Attention to color contrast between text and its background to support readability.
Known Limitations
We want to be honest about the places where our site may fall short. Accessibility is a moving target, and some parts of the web are not fully within our control.
In particular, some third-party content that we embed, such as the Google Maps map used to show our office locations, is created and maintained by outside providers. That content may not fully meet the same accessibility standards we hold for the rest of our site. If any embedded feature keeps you from getting the information you need, please contact us and we will provide that information in another way.
Alternative Ways to Reach Us
If any part of this website is difficult or impossible for you to use, you do not have to work around it alone. We are glad to help directly and to share any information on the site in a format that works better for you.
You can call us at (757) 735-5958 or email us at RestorationPointeCounseling@gmail.com. We serve clients from our offices in Norfolk and Newport News, Virginia, and through telehealth across Virginia. Whether you need directions, details about our services, or help completing a form, we are happy to assist.
Feedback and Reporting a Barrier
Your experience helps us improve. If you run into an accessibility barrier on this site, or if something did not work the way you expected, we genuinely want to hear about it.
Please reach out by phone at (757) 735-5958 or by email at RestorationPointeCounseling@gmail.com. When you contact us, it helps to include the web address of the page, a short description of the problem, and the browser or assistive technology you were using, though none of that is required. We take these reports seriously and will do our best to respond promptly and to address the issue you raise.
Our Ongoing Effort
Accessibility is not a task we finish once. As we update this website, add new pages, and adopt new tools, we continue to review our work against our goals and to make improvements where we can.
This statement was last reviewed and is effective as of July 14, 2026. We will update it as our site and our practices evolve, and we welcome your feedback along the way.
